89RC0 QSL Cards

Stephane 14RC001, the QSL Manager for 89RC0 has announced that the first batch of QSL Cards are ready for sending tomorrow. This is great news for everyone that has sent qsl and received by Stephane. Aside from this, I personally sent a card from 89 Division to a few random contacts and RC members who used the Romeo Charlie callsign when I got their call. So to all those who will receive a card from me, kindly post it on your websites or in any website and help in validating my activity in 89.
RC Activations are and has always been the most exciting in the 11 meter world. I hope that my activation has lived up to those standards. Just keep checking out this site and the Romeo Charlie Website for future exciting activations by the Romeo Charlie International DX Group. 73's Mark 79RC003/89RC0

PROP in 89

Prop is not so good tonight. I only worked 3 stations. 3SAB001 Michael, 29WT200 Nick and 168AT116 Beth.

All of them were 5 x 3 just riding above the QRN. There are generators around where I am transmitting from so there's nothing i can do about it .

Anyway, I'm still on 555 listening. seems that the qrn is out but  I'm not keeping my hopes up just yet.
I'll be on air daily but my times will be shorter. I can't air around 1100 utc anymore. only from 1500 utc till.

Just keep your ears on towards 89 and maybe we'll get lucky.

89RC0

Well, this is the last month that 89RC0 will be active on the air. My name is Mark by the way, and my call is 79RC003. It has been fun operating the 89RC0 activation. I have made lots of QSO's and friends.

Over the past 3 months that I operated, (I skipped February due to work commitments) I have had some very easy contacts, but most were really hard ones. I have made errors on callsigns and I apologize for that. I also wish to say I'm sorry for those of whom  I couldn't copy. My antenna system is only a dipole so my range is quite limited. Regardless of excellent propagation conditions, the dipole I use isn't just good enough for the job. My biggest hope is that this activation be a success when it comes to QSL's. So far the response is not up to what I imagined it would be. So if any one I talked to should read this; please QSL if you haven't. QSL cards are a lot better than posting it on cluster or posting that you have made contact with any station over a blog.

Anyway, I do hope to make more new contacts until the end of this activation. I wish to say thanks to all the stations I worked, and to all who already sent their QSL cards please expect a return in the coming weeks. And to all still thinking about sending theirs... thank you still.

My next activation should be in 79 Division sometime soon.

For now, I wish you all the best and good luck on your DX'ing. May the PROP be with you!!
